,My D was admitted to Occidental and Smith, both of which I believe are LAC's, while LMU is a university, and smaller. I am guilty myself of not fully taking advantage of what was offered my first semester, but having been there for a year now, I have found so many things that I love and have finally realized I am surrounded by opportunites that have helped make me a better person. We aren't "typical" -- and that's what we all love about it. However it's reputation has changed and anyone would be impressed with the caliber of education that LMU offers today.
